A study carried out by the University of Kentucky Medical School reported that as many as 50% of the diabetics taking insulin were able to discontinue its use after 2 weeks. Almost all of them stopped oral medication when they switched to a low-fat diet. Yet, with all this data and science there are still many people who think that eating sugar or carbs can cause blood sugar problems, including type 2 diabetes.
